Fresh Kills Park Tours
The Parks Department will be conducting tours of the Fresh Kills Park site between April and November 2008. Each tour is guided by NYC Urban Park Rangers and will last approximately an hour and a half.
The tours, which will be conducted by bus, are free of charge. Space is limited and reservations are required. You will be sent an email to confirm that your form has been received. All tours will depart from the Eltingville Transportation Center/Park & Ride on Staten Island.
Wheelchair accessible buses are available; please check the request box upon registration for your tour.
Interested in what else there is to do on Staten Island once you've had your tour? These day-trip itineraries can give you some ideas. All you have to do is sign up for a public tour and then head out on your adventure! We've outlined trips that are easy for those with cars and those without, though itineraries and destinations can, of course, be mixed and matched.

To sign up for a tour:
- Refer to the interactive calendar on the right. Shaded dates are those that are available.
- Click on your preferred tour date.
- Click on the “Sign-Up” button on one of the available times below.
- If you need to cancel your tour registration, please click here. It is important to let us know of you cancellation, as there are a limited number of space on the bus.
Specially organized group tours are available during the tour season. If you are interested in setting up a tour for a group of 15 - 25 people, please fill out the Fresh Kills Newsgroup form and include a note in the message section. Group tours can be organized on Wednesdays and alternate Saturdays.
