Bronx Parks for the 21st Century
Construction of a water filtration plant for the Croton Water Supply System under the Mosholu Golf Course in Van Cortlandt Park has begun. As part of the agreement between the City and the Parks Department, more than $200 million generated from water and sewer revenue will be spent on improvements to more than 75 Bronx Parks over the next five years. The agreement represents a rare opportunity to invest more than triple what would be spent on Bronx’s parks over the next five years.

Bronx Parks for the 21st Century will make improvements in five different categories:
- Neighborhood Parks
- Regional Recreation Facilities
- Greening the Borough
- Develop Waterfront Parks
- Expanding the Bronx Greenway

Construction Projects
We have completed twenty–eight (28) Construction Projects, twenty–four (24) projects are currently in Construction, and twenty–three (23) projects currently in design, eight (8) of which are in the Bid–cycle process that will start within the next three (3) months.
Design Projects
We have fifteen (15) projects currently in design that are schedule to be completed in the next six (6) months and start construction by next summer.
