Summer Solstice Celebration - Socrates Sculpture Park

Rain or shine from 5 pm to sunset, bring your friends and family to Socrates Sculpture Park's 6th annual Solstice event to welcome the summer and celebrate the longest day of the year!

Be creative in special solstice artmaking workshops with artists from Materials for the Arts, The Noguchi Museum, The Queens Museum of Art, and Socrates Sculpture Park; listen to live salsa music by JoJo and The Latin All Stars and traditional music of indigenous tribes from the Andes by Yarina; have fun with Free Style Arts Association; get your face painted by Agostino Arts and Transformation! Face Painting; participate in a special solstice ritual performed by Urban Shaman Mama Donna; enjoy summer music from solstice DJ Jonny Fego; sample foods from local restaurants, have a picnic and enjoy the view as the sun sets over the Manhattan skyline!
