The Fort Tryon Park Trust and the Parks Department are sponsoring a free Autumn Tai Chi Program. Each class will stand alone but if you attend multiple classes you will get more movement and a greater understanding of the art. Dress in comfortable layers.

Instructor Robert Mahoney has studied tai chi and other martial arts at The American Center for Chinese Studies (Kungfu.org) for 14 years. He is a scientist by trade and works in Cancer Research. Robert, who is volunteering his time, says, "I have recently moved to Inwood and have fallen in love with Northern Manhattan. I would enjoy the opportunity to share what I have learned about this beautiful art to the people of Northern Manhattan."
