This year, the Christmas merry-making begins with the 12th annual lighting at Central Park's picturesque Charles A. Dana Discovery Center.  Hosted by the Women's Committee of the Central Park Conservancy and organized by the Central Park Conservancy's Education and Public Programs Department, this event includes fun holiday activities, live music, and refreshments for the entire family.

Free for all ages! Rain or shine. Advance registration not required. For more information, please call (212) 860-1370 or visit our Winter Holiday Programs webpage to learn about more fun holiday events in Central Park.

Parks & Recreation will be bringing in the holiday season in the upcoming weeks with citywide traditional tree lighting ceremonies.  City and community representatives will join spirited New Yorkers at these fun and festive seasonal events throughout all five boroughs.

This event is generously sponsored by Con Edison.
