Launch of the Latimer Monthly Poetry Series

Readings of selected poems written by Lewis H. Latimer as well as original poems of the participating literary artists.  Artists include Julio Marzan, Queens Poet Laureate; Juanita Torrence-Thompson, editor-in-chief/publisher of Mobius: The Poetry Magazine; Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan, TV Host; Seamas O'Flannagain, storyteller; E.J. Antonio, poet; Erica Mapp, poet; Rachel Eliza Griffiths, Cave Canem Fellow; Dominick Arbolay, assistant editor of Mobius: The Poetry Magazine.

$6/adults, $4/seniors, students & children.

Directions:  Subway: Subway #7 to Main Street Roosevelt then take Q25 to Linden Place and 35th Avenue

1 – 3 p.m. (tour & reception); 3 – 5 p.m. (readings)

This event is part of the Historic House Trust’s Historic House Festival, a citywide celebration of the historic houses in city parks.  On Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, 22 historic houses across the five boroughs will open their doors for events and special tours.
