Hands-on History: Archaeology at King Manor

Children can learn about archaeological work done at King Manor, hear stories about archaeologists and their exciting discoveries, and enjoy archaeology-themed activities! Free.

Directions:  Subway: E, J, or Z to Jamaica Center (exit Archer Avenue / 153rd Street, walk one block north), or F to Parsons Boulevard (exit 153rd Street, walk two blocks south to King Park); Bus: Q24, Q42, Q43, and others

This event is part of the Historic House Trust’s Historic House Festival, a citywide celebration of the historic houses in city parks.  On Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, 22 historic houses across the five boroughs will open their doors for events and special tours.
