Directions: Bus:
BX#12 to Fordham Road. Walk 1 1/2 blocks up Jerome Avenue, bypassing Monroe College and then St. James Episcopal Church. Directly across the street from the post office is the Jerome Avenue entrance gate that leads into St. James Park. Enter gate, walk down staircase, follow path, and make slight right to enter facility.
BX# 9, 22, or 28 to Kingsbridge Road and Fordham Road. Walk down on Jerome Avenue one block towards Fordham Road.
Train:
#4 or D train to Fordham Road or Kingsbridge Road.
Driving Directions:
Take the Major Deegan Expressway to Fordham Road exit. Make a right on Fordham Road. Continue east on Fordham to Jerome Avenue. You will see the elevated subway. Make a left on Jerome Avenue to 192 Street. Go about 1 1/2 blocks. The center is on your left, located inside St. James Park.
This is an Accessible Recreation Center.

Millennium Youth Basketball
January 23, 2010 – April 3, 2010
Get a jump on that jump shot with the Millennium Winter Basketball League and Tournament. The league is open to boys aged 8–16 and girls aged 8–13 and takes place at recreation centers across the city. Teams meet every week (times and days vary by center). Call (718) 430–1825 for more info. |

Senior Program
Senior members are provided with daily activities such as billiards, cards, and dominoes. Occasionally, billiard tournaments are implemented to provide friendly competition between seniors from other neighboring recreation facilities. Staff also offer senior members special events based on holidays and seasons. Events consist of food, music, and other forms of entertainment.

Sports Explorer Program
New York Cares volunteers provide free non-competitive sports activities for children ages 8-13. The activities are geared to engage the children in active play while developing team-building skills. Sports vary throughout the year.

Teen Program
Each evening, teens can partake in a variety of activities, including billiards, basketball, ping pong, cards, computer classes, and table games.
Free tournaments and sports programs, such as basketball, softball, and flag football, are made available for youth and teens during the holidays. Flyers and information will be posted accordingly. |

Turn 2 Afterschool Program
The St. James Turn 2 Afterschool Program is available at no cost for children ages 6-12. A structured schedule of activities has been implemented that offer the children the following: homework assistance, arts & crafts projects, performing arts, fitness and life skills workshops, and seasonal special events. In addition, the children are provided with daily healthy snacks.
The Afterschool Program begins in mid-September and continues through to the end of June. Children must be registered for the program. Parents/guardians must complete a registration package and submit a copy of their child's birth certificate and updated medical form. Click here for additional information. |

An instructor-led class that provides members with a fun, free way to learn Hip Hop Mambo and get into shape for the summer.
