This is a Limited Access Recreation Center.

A Brooklyn retreat for Fort Hamilton seniors. The center has tons of fun opportunities to socialize, including quilting and ceramics classes in the arts and crafts room, and tap dancing and social dances in the dance room.  Members also gather for games of Mah Jongg, Bridge and Bingo, and even Wii bowling!  The Computer Resource Center is a wonderful resource, with plenty of introductory computing classes and open access hours.

Mah Jongg

Mah Jongg is an old Chinese game which was only brought to the United States in the early 20th century!  Traditionally played with 136 tiles adorned with Chinese letters and symbols, it involves a degree of strategy and calculation.

Shape Up NYC: Zumba Gold

Zumba is a fusion of Latin, International and popular music dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! Zumba Gold targets the older population. The routines feature aerobic, fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance steps. The Zumba formula is modified to suit the needs of the active older participants.
