Turn 2 Baseball Clinics

Thank you for making the Summer 2009 Turn 2 Baseball Clinics such a success! Please check this page in Spring 2010 for further updates about the program.
From Wednesday, July 8 to Saturday, July 11, 2009, New York Yankee Derek Jeters’ Turn 2 Foundation will host the Tenth Annual New York City Baseball Clinics at Chelsea Park. This four–day clinic is FREE for boys and girls ages 8 to 13.
The clinics will focus on baseball fundamentals, as well as important life skills and lessons, which are acquired from Derek Jeter’s biography, The Life You Imagine.
Throughout the clinic, participants are led through multiple baseball skill stations by a group of experienced local coaches. Stations will focus on teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and base running, as well as highlighting Derek’s 10 Life Lessons.
A highlight of the clinic is an appearance of a special guest speaker who will share their professional and personal experiences with the children.
To conclude the event and reward the youngsters’ hard work, the Turn 2 Foundation will host a closing award ceremony and banquet for the participants and their families. The children will also receive a copy of Derek Jeter’s All–Star Manual: 10 Life Lessons workbook and poster.
All participants will receive a T-shirt on the first day, and lunch will be provided daily.
Chelsea Park is located on West 27th Street between 9th & 10th avenues.
