The Do's and Don'ts of Water Safety
There is no better way to beat the summertime heat than by visiting one of the City's seven beautiful beaches or 54 pools.
But Play It Safe, Swim Smart, and follow the three Do's and Don'ts of Water Safety.
Do's
- Do watch children and non-swimmers at all times
- Do swim when a lifeguard is on duty
- Do swim sober
Don'ts
- Don't swim if you don't know how
- Don't swim alone
- Don't swim when beaches are closed
All city beaches are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
All city pools are open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Beaches and pools close for the summer on Labor Day.
