Prospect Park

The Park Drive is a 3.35-mile loop around the entire Park that is open to vehicular traffic during weekday rush hours only. Visit the Prospect Park website for more information.

Park Drive Hours

Weekends: Closed to motorists

Weekdays (except holidays):
West Drive (Southbound): Closed to motorists 7pm - 5pm; Open to motorists 5pm - 7pm
East Drive (Northbound): Closed to motorists 9am-5pm and 7pm-7am; Open to motorists 7am - 9am and 5pm-7pm

Coney Island Boardwalk

No motorists allowed. Bicycles allowed from 5am-10am.

NOTE: Even when Park Drives are open to vehicle traffic, there is a separate recreation lane for bicycle and pedestrian use.

SPEED LIMIT ON ALL DRIVES: 25 m.p.h.

HOLIDAY SEASON HOURS
Effective November 20, the drives will remain open to vehicles on weekdays through Friday, December 29, 2006. During this period, the drives will close in the evening at 7:00 p.m. and re-open at 7:00 a.m. the next day. On holidays, the drives will close at 7:00 p.m. the day before the holiday and re-open at 7:00 a.m. the day after.

The drives will be closed on weekends and legal NYC holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day).

Forest Park

Forest Park Drive between Woodhaven and Metropolitan Avenue, including Memorial Drive, there are no motorists allowed. All other areas are open to motorists 24 hours.

NOTE: Forest Park closes at 10pm.

Flushing Meadows Corona-Park

Roads open to motorists at all times.

Rockaway Beach

No motorists allowed. Bicycles allowed from 5am -10am.

Silver Lake Park (Forest Ave. to Victory Blvd.)

Summer Hours:
Monday - Friday: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Weekends: Friday, 6:00 p.m. to Monday, 7:00 a.m.
Holidays: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Year round:
