This center honors Pelham Fritz (1920–1988), popular Parks official, former basketball player and coach, and a nearly life-long Harlem resident. Opened in 1969, and surrounded by the lush Marcus Garvey Park, Pelham Fritz hosts a range of arts, athletic, and educational programming for children, adults, and seniors.
