You are the Director of the Parks Department's

to find out if her company will donate children's
books to the Parks afterschool programs. You are requesting
these books because they will enhance the education
Parks Afterschool programs can offer to the children
who go to our recreation centers after school.
Make sure Ms. Rawlins knows that
- Parks runs 36 afterschool programs in all five boroughs
- The kids are ages 8 to 13 and that they spend 3 hours a day at our centers
- The educational services provided are for underprivileged kids throughout the city
Be sure that the end of your letter includes where she can reach you to speak more about your request for books. Finally, end your letter by telling Ms. Rawlins that you will be contacting (ie: calling) her in a week (provide the exact date!) to follow up on this letter.
