Photography

As a Parks photography intern, you will be developing photographs of everything from ribbon-cuttings and groundbreakings to high-profile concerts, festivals and athletic competitions. In the process, you will document the history of the world's greatest city as an integral part of one of New York City's most important, diverse, and active government agencies.

A knowledge of printing and developing 35 mm and 2 1/4 black and white negatives is a must, and you should be familiar with a modern darkroom. As an intern, you will also be responsible for maintaining the Parks photography collection and monitoring supplies and materials. A flexible schedule is helpful; there are some opportunities for evening and weekend work if you are interested. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore and improve your photography skills as well as gain hands-on experience.
