Management Information Systems (MIS)
MIS Positions Available with Parks:
Database Programmers - will assist the database manager in the full life cycle of database projects, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and administration and will also perform user training and support. Knowledge of basic relational database theory is required and proficiency in MS-Access97 and/or Oracle 8i and/or SQL Server 7.x is preferred.
GIS Analysts & Developers - will create, modify, update and convert spatial data and applications. Working knowledge of ESRI ArcView 3.x, ArcInfo 8.x and related extensions are preferred with general practical knowledge of databases.
Graphic Designers - will assist in the creation of Intranet/Internet website design. Designers will also create or modify logos, posters, multimedia presentations and other Parks's artwork. Understanding of the Internet/Intranet schema is required. Proficiency in the following applications is preferred: Adobe Suite, HTML, DHTML, Java, Macromedia Suite and NetWare/WinNT are pluses.
Help Desk Analysts
- will assist users by providing
telephone support to resolve hardware, software and
network issues. Strong analytical and trouble shooting
skills with working knowledge of Windows98 and MS-Office97
are required. Junior Network Administrators - will
set up servers, install network wiring, design and
maintain network system architecture. Will assist
the network manager in creating, maintaining and deleting
user accounts. Knowledge of Novell NetWare 5.x is
preferred and Windows NT is a plus.
