Computer Resource Centers (CRC)

Grant Writing Intern

Computer Resource Centers (CRC) are labs where people of all ages can play and learn in a safe, structured environment.  CRC provide formal drop-in time to help users of all ages advance their education and careers.  They organize mentoring projects, sponsor job training sessions and hold academically focused contests.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Interns will report directly to the Director of CRC and work with CRC to develop new ideas, write proposals to help raise funds for new and existing programs, solicit donations and sponsorship from companies and philanthropic organizaitons, and draft letters for the Director's and the Commissioner's signatures.  They will have fantastic networking opportunities and will develop many marketable skills.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SPECIAL SKILLS/ AREAS OF STUDY

Applicants for this position must have excellent writing and communication skills.  They should demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office Suite.  Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop and PageMaker is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You should apply for this internship if you are hard-working, interested in parks and technology, and would like hands-on experience in public service.  This would be an ideal internship for anyone who is interested in Education and Technology.  Interns must commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week, although hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship.
