Administrative Staff Analyst (Non – Managerial) (PDF, 63 KB)
Under the direction of the Chief of Forestry, Horticulture and Natural Resources with latitude for independent judgment, develop and write a business, financial and organization plan for a Natural Areas Conservancy, which would promote the conservation and preservation of New York City’s natural areas.
Art/Dance Consultant for Teens (PDF, 199 KB)
To allow teens to obtain knowledge in a variety of art forms/cultures: Oil canvas and watercolor painting, clay or paper Mache sculpturing, ceramics, air brush on cloth designing, dance and song.
Camp Counselor, Urban Park Ranger Summer Camps (PDF, 50 KB)
The Urban Park Rangers’ (UPR) mission is to link New Yorkers to the natural world, teach them to care for the environment and their parks, defend the parks, and their wild residents and restore New York’s natural heritage. The Urban Park Rangers seek seasonal naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts who want to spend their summer working with children as camp counselors in our Junior Rangers day camps to build park stewardship through fun, educational activities, such as canoeing, hiking, fishing, orienteering, arts and crafts, and camping. Camp counselors work 40 hours per week, including some weekends and overnights.

The mission of Imagination Playground is to encourage child-directed, unstructured “free play,” the kind of play that experts say is critical to a child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional development. With giant foam blocks, mats, wagons, fabric and crates at their fingertips, and under the guidance of Play Associates trained in the free play model, children have the potential to play, build and explore endless possibilities.

Parks & Recreation seeks swimming instructors (Recreation Specialists/$18.21/hr) to organize & instruct children in our Learn to Swim Program this fall at indoor pools in all five boroughs. Three years rec experience, including one year of aquatics experience or equivalent education & experience required.
Tennis Permit Associate (PDF, 161 KB)
Process tennis permits and renewals for the borough of Queens. Review tennis permit applications for accuracy & completion. Enter information in RecWare – an in-house permit tracking system. Handle all financial transactions associated with tennis permits. Prepare Tennis Revenue Report. Print cash receipts reports and daily summary. Complete Tennis weekly summary report. Process monthly revenue reports for office. Facilitate any problems or issues that may arise during process.Provide customer service to applicant by explaining the permit process.Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner.Assist patrons who have questions with a level of efficiency and professionalism. Make follow-up phone calls in a timely manner to help complete process of permits. Photocopy and file all permits applications.Assist Permit Office as needed.
