the $200,000 renovation of Riverdale Playground
located at 237th Street and Independence Avenue.
This ribbon cutting marks the reconstruction of
the playground's basketball and handball courts.

- Parks Opportunity Program (POP) reports that the number of participants has increased by almost 500 people in the last two weeks. Currently, there are more than 3,400 POP participants working for Parks.
- Manhattan Events and the Salvation Army kick-off the Holiday Sidewalk Santa season at Union Square Park.
- Queens Operations spread mulch on athletic fields at Loring Field, Peter's Field and Marconi Park. The mulch was obtained from the Sanitation Mulch Recycling Program.

fishing contest at Willowbrook Park on Friday. The
park is located off Richmond Avenue and Victory

- Bids are due from contractors at 10:30am for the project to reconstruct a portion of the Binnen Water in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Bids will be opened and reviewed.
