CITYWIDE BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT BOROUGH PRELIMINARIES
DATE: Saturday, August 13th, 2005
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Coney Island Beach (West 10th & 12th Streets at the Boardwalk) Brooklyn
EVENT & PHOTO-OP: From top players to novices, New Yorkers from every borough and of all skill levels hit Coney Island Beach to compete in one of the largest Pro-Am & Novice beach volleyball tournaments on the East Coast.
DETAILS:
The Citywide Beach Volleyball Tournament is an annual event presented by New York City Parks & Recreation. All skill levels will compete in preliminary categories including Men’s and Women’s Open Doubles, Men’s and Women’s Intermediate and Novice Doubles, Coed Fours, and Junior Coed Fours. Winners will advance to the Citywide Championship Tournament, which will also be held at Coney Island, on August 14.
The rain-or-shine event is free and open to everyone—like all the best stuff in NYC. There are great prizes, including goodie bags for all registrants. For more information visit our website at www.nyc.gov/parks or call 311.
