Alley Pond Park Adventure Program

A Note for Educators

The Alley Pond Park Adventure can readily incorporate The Natural Classroom program, a series of park-based, Ranger-led education programs that help students meet performance standards in Science, Math, and Literacy. These programs, created in partnership with The National Geographic Society, and supported by The New York City Department of Education, explore the natural and cultural history of New York.

Rangers will teach the basics of Ornithology, Botany, Ecology, and Ichthyology while students observe birds, examine local flora and fauna, and unhook captured fish for release. Teachers can choose from ten (10) different programs, which offer students a memorable and meaningful outdoor education experience. Inquire how your group can take advantage of The Natural Classroom - at no extra change - as part of your Alley Pond Park Adventure.
