The East River Promenade, partially closed to the public for more than a decade, has reopened, creating a vital link along the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway. On February 23, 2012, Parks Photographer Daniel Avila visited East River Park to see the new seawall and promenade in action. Through his lens, we've found that a longtime urban blight has become one of the best vistas in the city.
