NYC Parks urges caution during the snow storm predicted for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Spring in Silver Lake Park and Clove Lakes Park

On April 3, 2012, Parks Photographer Daniel Avila visited Silver Lake Park and Clove Lakes Park on Staten Island. Both parks were in bloom, as the crabapples, daffodils, redbuds, magnolias, and cherries heralded the first signs of spring.
