New York Philharmonic Music Director Designate Alan Gilbert led the Orchestra in Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 during the first of the season's New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, sponsored by Target and MetLife Foundation. The concert, which took place in Central Park, was attended by an estimated 80,000 people.
