ParkWright Brothers Playground

The park is closed due to construction. This playground is being reconstructed to provide a better recreational facility for the community, including the students of P.S. 28, the Wright Brothers School. The new playground will meet current safety standards and provide a richer play environment for a variety of ages. It will include elements related to the history of air travel in honor of the aeronautical pioneers, Orville and Wilbur Wright. Drainage, settlement and water supply problems will be corrected. The upper seating area along the path will include new benches, game tables, plantings and pavement, and the comfort station will be renovated to meet ADA and other code requirements.
Anticipated Completion: Winter 2014
