NYC Parks urges caution during the snow storm predicted for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Ever wonder what it would be like to have kaleidoscope eyes or see things from another animal's point of view. See things from the perspective of an insect, an owl, and other animals, and learn how other animals rely on senses other than sight to find their way around. Create a pair of fun-colored lenses that will change your perspective. Then we will take a short walk examining the layers of the forest in search of Greenbelt animals. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Free program sponsored by Time Warner Cable Connect a Million Minds. Registration required.
