In 2011, after releasing their album, Relax, the group was named in many year-end “best of” lists, including Rolling Stone’s and Spin’s lists of “Fifty Best Albums of 2011.” It was also landed fourth on Spin Magazines’ “Rap Albums of the Year.” Das Racist’s distinctive style makes them one of a kind, defying all previous notions of rap and hip-hop.
