The Dirty Sock Funtime Band is a wild, technicolor musical adventure where anything can happen! “Beloved by millions of families for their high-energy music videos on the NICK JR. CHANNEL'S JACK'S BIG MUSIC SHOW" (Thrifty Nifty Mommy), they can also be seen in CHUCK E. CHEESE venues across the country (and even in an episode of WORKAHOLICS in 2012). The Dirty Socks have become a favorite that are sure to "inspire dancing in the aisles — by children and parents alike" (New York Family). Their 2010 album SOCK-A-DELIC was highly praised as "high-energy music for your kids that you will love too" (A Nation of Moms) and the DIRTY SOCK FUNTIME BAND SHOW DVD was called "a well-paced, charming and visually appealing program for all eyes – young and old, cynical and innocent" (OutWithTheKids). 2013's release THE DIRTY SOCK COME CLEAN is eagerly awaited by fans around the world who have seen the band play on TV and live from New York City to Chicago to L.A. to US Navy bases in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Dirty Socks will be touring their new album this Spring and Summer. You can also check them out at Kids Creative, their rock n roll peace education nonprofit for NYC kids.

The restoration of the Queensbridge Park seawall will restore waterfront access for the community. The project will reconstruct the seawall using rip rap revetment made up of large rocks which will to protect the shoreline by absorbing and deflecting waves while lessening the effects of erosion. The project will also feature a six foot wide promenade with benches along the waterfront. The northern end of the promenade will feature a small “wharf-like” area at the northern end of the promenade that projects over the water. Some areas adjacent to the promenade will be planted with shrubs.
Anticipated Completion: Spring 2014
