PARK FACT:
In 1895, Alexander Chenowith uncovered caves in Inwood Hill Park that had once served as dwellings for early Native Americans, as evidenced by pottery and carbonized food found under beds of ash.

There are hundreds of outdoor courts in New York City. In the basketball capital of the world, it's possible to find a game within walking distance of any location. Recreation Centers in all five boroughs have indoor courts as well.
Come join us this summer for wheelchair basketball at the following locations:
- Roy Wilkins Family Center, Jamaica, NY: Saturdays, 3-5 p.m.
- 54th Street Recreation Center, 54th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues: Mondays, 6-9 p.m.
How to Reserve an Athletic Field or Court
Organized leagues or special events need a permit to use an athletic field or court. For people under 18, the permit is free. For those 18 and over, a fee is required.
