Become a citizen scientist and discover how you can help frogs and toads in our environment by identifying and monitoring their unique vocal calls. Frog Watch USA is a nationwide program that monitors and tracks amphibian populations by collecting data with help from volunteers like you! We will begin with a presentation where you will learn about the species that live here and how to identify them. This training will kick off the Greenbelt’s FrogWatch USA chapter and entitle you to attend monthly monitoring sessions. Following the presentation there will be a hike through our park to what we can find! Bring a headlamp or flashlight for the night walk and monitoring.  This program is suitable for ages 8 and up. Meet at Nevada Ave. parking lot. Registration required.
