Kids are invited to become a bird for a winter scavenger hunt on the High Line, followed by puppet-making and stories at Posman Books. Inspired by Sarah Sze’s Still Life with Landscape (Model for Habitat).
Become a bird for a day and explore how feathered friends hunker down for winter on the High Line.
Flap a bird puppet on a scavenger hunt through the High Line, then head down to Posman Books to decorate your puppet and enjoy a cozy story.
This program dovetails with artist Sarah Sze’s Still Life with Landscape (Model for Habitat), on view on the High Line between 20th and 21st Streets as part of High Line Art. This elaborate sculpture allows park visitors to physically enter and pass through the space it outlines,while also attracting birds, butterflies, and insects with perches, feeding spots, and birdbaths.
