Attention budding scientists and young geniuses at large: Join Dr. Leonisa Ardizzone of Storefront Science to explore physics all around us.
Have you ever wondered how bridges can hold heavy trucks suspended over thin air? Discover the fascinating properties of physics through fun, hands-on activities! Find out how it all works and then help design your own bridge.
Appropriate for Ages 7-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Know Before You Go
There are currently 2 service interruptions affecting access within this park.
The historic Brush stairway located at West 157th Street is being reconstructed with the same utilitarian characteristics and simple expression of steel and concrete as the original. While incorporating similar materials, the stairway will be upgraded to meet today's building code. The lower area along the Harlem River drive will be improved with new picnic tables, a game table, benches and landscaping.

Highbridge Recreation Center
On Wednesday, November 26, all Recreation Centers close at 6:00 p.m. for the holiday. There may be changes to your schedule, so please check with your center. On Thursday, November 27, all Recreation Centers are closed. Happy Thanksgiving!
