Soul food lies at the heart of African American cultural identity. The black community's love affair with sould food is deep-rooted, complex and in some cases, deadly. Soul Food Junkies puts this culinary tradition under the mircoscope to examine both its significance and it's consequences. There will be a brief Q&A afterwards.
Please join food justice farmer/longtime community food educator Yonnette Fleming and explore the power of greens, learn and identify some well known and lesser known greens that provide great nutrition for the body and prepare a simple, healthy, delicious collard greens stir-fry. All food stories are encouraged.
