An unspoiled stretch of native wildlife, Four Sparrow is one of three nature preserves on the southern tip of Brooklyn. The park's distance from Brooklyn's residential areas has allowed its natural habitat to flourish, and its flora and fauna to exist undisturbed. The park is home to many birds, and intrepid birders can spot such rare creatures as bobolinks, snipe, and little blue herons. For those who'd rather investigate the birds' perches, Four Sparrow contains a diversity of plant-life in its mudflats, marshes, and meadows.
