Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Ranger's Choice: Little Red Lighthouse by Candlelight

This summer we are featuring some of our Ranger's favorite Weekend Adventure experiences.  From stunning wildlife viewing to behind the scenes access, these programs are not to be missed.  

The Jeffrey's Hook lighthouse, erected in 1880 and moved to its current site in 1921, has become widely known as the children's literary landmark "The Little Red Lighthouse."  Join us as we explore this unique landmark by lantern light.
