Urban Park Rangers specialize in interpretation of historic turning points, both natural and man-made, in our city’s long history.  On this walking tour, discover historic Fort Totten Park.   Built across the East River from its counterpart, Fort Schuyler, Fort Totten was initially charged with defending the eastern approach to New York Harbor. This is a great place to learn about New York City's military history.
