NYC Parks urges caution during the snow storm predicted for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Hiking is the ultimate way to enjoy the outdoors and reduce stress.  On Nature Exploration Hikes we will discover the plants and animals that inhabit the urban forest.  Hiking programs feature intensity levels ranging from light, to moderate (longer, faster paced hikes on rugged terrain), to vigorous. This is a moderate level hiking program.

For all hiking programs we recommend wearing comfortable shores or boots, and packing water and a light snack.
