PARK FACT:
In the 1930s, New York City Parks Commissioner Robert Moses planned a beach, bathhouse, and cafeteria complex with a bus terminal and parking field at Ferry Point Park. Unfortunately, the plan was never implemented.

Know Before You Go
This project will reconstruct the existing softball and little league fields and feature a central gathering area which includes a play area and seating. A comfort station will be constructed under a separate contract. The central oval will provide access to ballfields and basketball courts to the north and the naturalized pedestrian loop trail nature system which will lead park users around three ponds to the south. At the south end of the park, a garden and seating area will be constructed with a pathway that connects to the pedestrian trail.
