There are currently 3 service interruptions affecting access within this park.

All NYC beaches will be open for swimming on Saturday, May 25. Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy, and the major rebuilding effort at our beaches, there may be multiple service changes at each beach. Visit our Beach Restoration page for more information on what to expect this summer.

BeachesSouth Beach

The South Beach shoreline will be closed Monday - Friday to allow for berm-building. The work will begin in front of the Vanderbilt/South Fin Grill concession at Sand Lane and continue in north and south directions until complete. The repaired portion of the south beach boardwalk will remain open while this work is being done. In the interim, we encourage beach-goers to visit Midland Beach. We anticipate this work to be completed before the end of June.
