Coney Island USA presents The Mermaid Parade

Coney Island’s annual Mermaid Parade is back. Dress up and come out to see the nation’s largest art parade and celebrate ancient mythology and seaside traditions.

BeachesBrighton Beach

NYC beach season has been extended through September 13. After Labor Day, beaches will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. At Coney Island, the following locations will remain open for swimming: Coney Island Avenue, Brighton 6th Street, Brighton 4th Street, Brighton 2nd Street and Ocean Parkway. We may adjust swimming beaches on a daily basis due to site and surf conditions, so please observe all posted signs and flags to swim in safe locations, so please observe all posted signs and flags and swim only where a lifeguard is present.

BeachesConey Island and Coney Island Boardwalk

BeachesConey Island and Coney Island Boardwalk

Portions of the boardwalk are closed to reconstruct the street ends of Brighton 2nd Street and West 33rd Street in Coney Island, Brooklyn in order to provide new ADA compliant ramps to the boardwalk, sitting areas, new planted areas and lighting.
Anticipated Completion: Spring 2016
