The Rubin Museum of Art is dedicated to the art of the Himalayas and surrounding regions, especially Tibetan art.

In honor of its tenth anniversary, the Museum will present the exhibition The Art of Tibetan Medicine: Bodies In Balance opening in March 2014. Rubin Museum Education Director Bill Appleton will introduce the Museum’s collection and exhibitions in a free, interactive workshop.

On Tuesday, September 22, the Shape Up NYC: Hot Hula class is cancelled. In order to perform necessary maintenance and repairs, the Chelsea swimming pool will be closed from Thursday, October 1 - Saturday, October 31. The pool will reopen for normal business hours on Sunday, November 1. While the pool is closed, please feel free to explore any of our five other indoor pools in Manhattan, included with your membership. Among them: Tony Dapolito (West Village), Gertrude Ederle (Upper West Side), and Asser Levy (Kips Bay).
