Happy Independence Day! Meet our national emblem -- a Bald Eagle -- and more birds of prey face-to-face when wildlife educators from Hawk Creek Wildlife Center visit Central Park for a special live bird show presented by the Central Park Conservancy.

Members of the Central Park Conservancy can enjoy a semi-private photo opportunity with the birds and rehabilitators after the program (bring your own camera). Space is limited; online pre-registration required. REGISTER HERE. Not yet a member of the Conservancy? Become a member,  support Central Park, and participate in year-round Member Programs like this one.

All ages are welcome. In case of inclement weather, program will take place indoors at the North Meadow Recreation Center (located mid-Park at 97th Street). For day-of weather-related changes and accessibility information, call 212-348-4867.

The Central Park Conservancy's "A Clearing in the Forest" series combines eco-education and multicultural family fun at interactive dance, music, art, storytelling, wildlife, and puppetry performances on alternating Sunday afternoons from April 24 - October 9, 2011. See the full schedule here.
