ING New York City Marathon
The premier event of New York Road Runners, the ING New York City Marathon is one of the world’s greatest road races. There will be 43,000 runners competing this year. If you’re not planning to join the race, then come to our parks all across the city on Sunday morning to cheer on your fellow New Yorkers and thousands of visitors from around the world! John Muir Day
Van Cortlandt Park is hosting its annual American-Scottish picnic on Saturday, November 6, beginning at 10 a.m. Scottish-Americans, family, and friends can help plant and restore the bucolic John Muir trail in the morning, enjoy a fine picnic at noon, and then hike the trail in the afternoon.
