She & Him consists of the pairing of Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward.  For 6 years, She & Him have been taking the indie world by storm as they churn out hits for the world to hear. This unlikely pairing has had their music skyrocket to the top of “The Billboard 200,” reaching as high as #1 for “Top Independent Albums” for 2011 and 2012.  The success of She & Him’s first album, Volume One, came out of left field, as Deschanel and Ward’s seemingly unlikely pairing—the effervescent actress-singer and the sought-after yet self-effacing guitarist—proved to sound absolutely right.  While Deschanel writes the music for the duo, and Ward produces and arranges the pieces, both artists share a great love for incorporating harmonies in all of their tracks.

With John Peel as an early champion, Glasgow’s Camera Obscura are fondly regarded by many as one of the UK’s finest acts; having over the years built up a dedicated following with must-have records and tours throughout Europe, USA, Mexico, Australia and South East Asia. Their 2006 album, Let’s Get Out of This Country (2006), was to prove pivotal for the band, taking them out of the shadows and to long-deserved new heights. “You might not find heartache as enchanting as this anywhere else,” stated All Music Guide in a familiar glowing review.

Ice Skating RinksLasker Rink (Temporarily Closed)

Lasker Rink is closed due to a refrigeration malfunction. Parks is trying to repair the rink's concrete slab and valves to identify and fix the source of the leak, in the hope of reopening the rink to the public later this season. In the meantime, the Trump Organization along with NYC Parks will work with the community and other area rinks to try to accommodate hockey and skating groups who call Lasker Rink home. Refunds will also be issued to any organizations who reserved and paid for use of the rink during the time that it will be closed.
