Four Nights of Peace, Love & Music: Richie Havens Concert

Thursday, July 23, 2009
7:00 p.m.
Manhattan

Richie Haven's soulful singing style has remained as unique and ageless as when he first emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene. Today he continues to inspire us through his melodic messages of brotherhood and freedom.

Tickets will be distributed two per person outside Castle Clinton on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5:00 p.m. on the day of the show.

This concert is part of the River To River Festival, which takes place each summer from June through August, in a variety of public venues that canvas all of Downtown New York - from Chambers Street down to the southern tip of Manhattan and across the island from river to river.

Location: Battery Park: Castle Clinton National Monument, Battery Park (State Street and Battery Place)
