Our garden at the Battery Bosque was planted by Piet Oudolf. In early morning light, see swathes of native wildflowers such as twinleaf (Jeffersonia diphylla), trillium, Labrador violet (Viola labradorica), golden Alexander (Zizia aurea), wild ginger (Asarum canadense), showy skullcap (Scutellaria serrata), Indian hyacinth (Camassia scilloides) and many other spring ephemerals in this horticulturally rich and unique New York City park.
