Recreation CentersAsser Levy Recreation Center

Please note: repairs at Asser Levy will result in a disruption in hot water service, beginning Wednesday, August 19. There will be little hot water while the repairs are being completed. Beginning Saturday, June 20, the indoor pool at Asser Levy Recreation Center is closed for the summer to make way for the outdoor pool! Free outdoor pools open across the city on Saturday, June 27 through Labor Day weekend. We appreciate your flexibility about this change and hope you enjoy the city's outdoor pools!

ParkAsser Levy Playground

The fitness equipment, ping pong tables, and a portion of the track are temporarily closed at Asser Levy Playground in order for the Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System to build a protective floodwall. The multi-purpose field and two-thirds of the track will remain open during construction.
