Volunteer at Alley Pond Park in Queens by painting, weeding, and removing invasive species.
This event will be composed of three separate projects with different registrations and meeting locations. Visit NYC Service's registration page to register for any of these projects.
For the first project at Alley Springfield, volunteers will paint benches and should meet at the Park House near the parking lot located on 76th Avenue, off Springfield Boulevard.
For the second project at Alley Picnic, volunteers will paint picnic tables and clear overgrowth. Volunteers should meet at the Park House near the parking lot off Winchester Boulevard (under the Grand Central Parkway). There is a ramp across from a Department of Sanitation garage on Winchester Blvd. that leads to the parking lot. The location is on Winchester Blvd., just north of Union Turnpike and south of the Long Island Expressway. Creedmoor State is opposite this site.
For the third project at Alley Athletic, volunteers will paint bleachers, picnic tables, and benches, and do general clean-up. Volunteers should also meet at the Park House near the parking lot on Winchester Boulevard, just off Union Turnpike.
