This show explores the portraits Alice Austen made on the streets of Manhattan at the turn of the last century. Her curious work captured the faces of New York City’s working class, as the population exploded with an influx of new immigrants, hoping to find the American Dream.
The Alice Austen House Museum is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a wheelchair ramp located in the rear of the museum.
