Come out and volunteer with Natural Areas Volunteers (NAV) at Van Cortlandt Park to plant native trees and shrubs to help improve the forest habitat. Please come dressed in closed-toe shoes, long pants and clothing that can get dirty. Space is limited. Registration is required for this event
Location
Join our Technical Leader at 9 A.M. at the Van Cortland House Museum near Broadway and West 246th Street in the Bronx. Public Transportation: Take the 1 train to 242th Street Van Cortlandt Park.

Know Before You Go
Van Cortlandt Park
The comfort station and maintenance building located at W. 242nd St. and Broadway is closed. This project will reconstruct the existing District Headquarters/Comfort Station, including the rehabilitation of the building exterior and roof. Enhancements include an ADA accessible ramp, new plumbing fixtures and accessories in the public restrooms and the staff restroom. Other work includes the upgrading of the ventilation system and lighting. Please pardon our appearance.
Anticipated Completion: Fall 2012
